For a fairly small town there are still plenty of things to do. One of the best family friendly activities is the Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park. Based right on the River Avon, there are plenty of activities that are perfect for kids, both inside and out. There’s also a number of wildlife enclosures where you can see reindeers, pygmy goats and chickens.
If you’re not after wildlife, there’s some treats for architecture lovers, including the Church of St John the Baptist. Or you can just take a seat in one of the many wonderful pubs. The Lock Keeper is a highly recommended pub, located by the river and marina, serving delicious food and drinks, perfect after a day of exploring the town.
