Banbury is a market town in Oxfordshire surrounded by beautiful countryside. Right on the River Cherwell, and not too far from the M40. Many seek new houses in Banbury to find that mix of town life whilst still well connected to bigger cities nearby.
For a small town though, Banbury still has a lot to offer in the way of amenities, especially when it comes to shopping. There are also several large grocery stores, a wide variety of places to eat, drink and stay over, and a number of sports clubs, including the main sports centre which was recently redeveloped with a new centre, swimming pool, and cafe. There’s a wide choice of green areas and parks to explore and relax in too. The largest of these is Spiceball Park, which has a number of fields, a play area, and a skateboard park.
Banbury is also home to the world's largest coffee-processing facility (Jacobs Douwe Egberts), as well as being famed for its ‘Banbury cakes’, a sweet pastry dish similar to an Eccles cake.
Transport-wise, Banbury has a central railway station that runs services to Warwick, Birmingham, and London. There are local buses and National Express routes through the town as well. The town sits right on the M40 making journeys into London or to Birmingham exceptionally easy.
