Jenna Caddy (35) and her husband Liam (35) recently purchased a three bedroom house at Crest Nicholson’s Hygge Park, located in the historic market town of Keynsham, Somerset. Following the birth of their second son, the couple knew they needed a bigger property to fit their expanding family.
With two young boys (Eden, 6, and Jax, 2) and two miniature dachshunds, the Caddy’s had outgrown their three bedroom home in Whitchurch, Bristol. Jenna explains: “Our growing family made me re-evaluate what I was looking for in a home, and a spacious garden and excellent local schools were at the top of my list. Hygge Park has everything we wanted and more. There’s a number of great schools within a mile of the development, which are rated good or outstanding by Ofsted, and that ultimately won us over.”
Situated between Bristol and Bath and just a five minute drive from Keynsham town centre, Hygge Park is the ideal location for families, with plenty of local amenities including supermarkets, restaurants and parks nearby. All properties feature spacious and flexible designs, perfect for busy modern lives.
Jenna comments: “Hygge Park caught my eye right away because all of the homes have a modern feel and are well spaced out across the development. There is also plenty of parking which is important to us as we love to have guests over. The open plan design of our new home is perfect for entertaining, whilst the garden is our favourite feature. There’s so much space for the kids to play and we’re in the middle of installing a new deck, so we’re all set for our summer barbeques. Hygge Park really is a great environment for families and boasts such friendly neighbours who made us instantly feel like we were part of the community.”
For Jenna and Liam, who own a window company in Bristol, Keynsham is a practical location for their family. The local train station is also just a mile away, providing direct links to Bristol, Gloucester and Brighton. While Bath Spa station is just a 20 minute drive away, offering connections to both London Paddington and Birmingham New Street, in under two hours. Residents at Hygge Park will also enjoy a variety of family amenities on their doorstep, including the Cotswolds and outdoor activities such as boating on the canal and stunning walks at Avon Valley.
Jenna adds: “The development is very well connected, and as Hygge Park sits between Bath and Bristol, we get to enjoy their diverse mix of amenities. Keynsham high street is right on our doorstep too, which is where I take the boys for lunch on the weekend.”
Commenting on the moving process, Jenna says Crest Nicholson was extremely helpful from start to finish: “The sales advisors at Hygge Park were brilliant and kept us informed throughout the whole process. Even after moving in, the onsite team has been very supportive. We’re so thankful that Crest Nicholson made the whole experience of moving house with two young boys during a pandemic a lot less stressful.”
Prices at Hygge Park start from £385,000 for a three bedroom home and £500,000 for a four bedroom home. For more information, please call 01179 236600 or visit www.crestnicholson.com/hygge-park.
