The Garden Village principles of Crest Nicholson’s award winning Swindon development, Tadpole Garden Village, appealed to new homeowners Steve and Sarah Lovesey. The couple who only moved into their new home at the development a few weeks ago, felt that the combination of garden village principles and Evolve’s contemporary design was “unique for Swindon”.
Steve who lives with wife Sarah, and their son, were keen to move into a more practical two storey home having lived in a three storey townhouse in North Swindon. Location was a key selling point, as the family wanted to remain in the Swindon area.
Crest Nicholson’s Tadpole Garden Village is set within an abundance of quiet, tranquil and open countryside with spectacular panoramic views of where the Wiltshire Downs meet the Cotswolds. Yet only five miles away is Swindon town centre, which has a great selection of stylish bars and cafés and well as a wide range of shops. Tadpole Garden Village, which recently won Best Community Initiative at the 2015 Housebuilders Award, is a flourishing development with community at its heart.
“It offers the best of both worlds” recalls Steve “as the property is ultra-modern but has the advantages of incorporating modern Garden Village principles. I loved that this was a low density development with a community village feel, which is a bit different for Swindon. Crest Nicholson is a contemporary and reputable housebuilder, with friendly sales advisors who made the whole process easier”.
Evolve at Tadpole Garden Village is a collection of contemporary high specification three, four and five bedroom houses. The second phase of development, Evolve, moves away from the traditional external style of Tadpole Gate towards a more contemporary avant-garde design.
The plans to expand Tadpole Garden Village and develop the emerging community was an added bonus for Steve. There is plenty more to come at Tadpole Garden Village including the recently announced plan to develop a leading secondary school, Great Western Academy on site.
