Local housebuilder Crest Nicholson has received planning approval for a further 172 homes in Finberry, Ashford. The new development, which will be called Captains Green, is part of the wider Finberry community built by Crest Nicholson and is located between the thriving and established developments at Sevington Lakes and Bilham Lawn.
The development will bring a diverse range of energy-efficient homes, from one to five bedrooms, all featuring PV panels and Electric Vehicle Charging Points. Of the 172 homes 12% will be designated as affordable housing.
The new development is in collaboration with the Church Commissioners and will feature open spaces, play area, improved access to the bus network, and protected habitats and corridors for great crested newts.
Work is anticipated to start in early 2026 with the first homes due for completion towards the end of that year.

The wider Finberry development upon completion, will comprise a total of 1,100 homes alongside community facilities including a primary school, play parks, a community centre, shops, restaurants, and sports pitches.
