Site plan of Brentwood development

Leading house builder Crest Nicholson has secured planning permission for 125 new homes in Brentwood. The development will bring a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom houses and apartments to the Essex town.

Out of the 125 homes, six will be available for self-build, and 44 designated as affordable. Homes will be equipped with PV solar panels and Electric Vehicle Charge Points, and the site will include wildlife-friendly features such as bird and bat boxes, as well as hedgehog highways to create safe passageways and support free movement between homes.

In addition, Crest Nicholson has committed nearly £3 million to fund improvements in highways, create cycling lanes, and invest in local amenities, education, and healthcare.

Asa Chittock, Managing Director for Crest Nicholson Eastern commented:

“We are thrilled to have secured planning permission to deliver much-needed, energy-efficient new homes in Brentwood. The planning approval will enable us to build upon our track record of providing high quality homes in the Essex area.”

“As well as providing much needed new homes, we’re committed to creating thriving, sustainable communities and we look forward to delivering a high-quality development that will integrate with the wider community.”

Work is anticipated to start in early 2025 with the first homes due for completion towards the end of the year.

The site is ideally located two miles outside the thriving town of Brentwood and minutes from the M25 and A12.
