Crest Nicholson has launched a brand-new play area at its popular Colwell Green development in Witney, Oxfordshire. Celebrating the occasion, the housebuilder held an easter egg hunt for the community within the new play area, along with pupils and parents from Long Hanborough Preschool, and local residents.
On Saturday 8th April, local families enjoyed a fun-packed day involving a hunt for hidden Easter eggs, plus ice cream from popular Crosstown Ice Cream.
Crest Nicholson is also supporting Long Hanborough Preschool, just over 7 miles from Colwell Green, to refurbish their facilities. The sponsorship will go toward upgrades to the preschool’s roof, drainage system and outside area, enabling an enjoyable and educational experience to both current and future pupils.
Located at the heart of Colwell Green, the play area includes swings, a slide and climbing equipment. Perfect for children aged three to eleven, the play area will be an important hub for families in the local area, helping to promote active lifestyles.
Charlie Joseph, Sales and Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Chiltern, said: “We were thrilled to see so many local families join us over the Easter weekend to help us celebrate the opening of the much-anticipated play area at Colwell Green. The addition of the play park, plus our sponsorship of Long Hanborough Preschool, demonstrates our commitment to building thriving communities with future-proofed amenities right on the doorstep, to be enjoyed for generations to come.”
Matthew Wade, Head of Fundraising for Long Hanborough Preschool, added: “A huge thank you to Crest Nicholson for their very generous donation toward our preschool in Long Hanborough. With over 30 children attending our preschool, it is at the heart of our community, and its continued development is greatly helped thanks to kind support from local businesses.
