Local businesses and families recently celebrated the first ever Woolston Summer Fete on Sunday 18th August at Crest Nicholson’s Centenary Quay development in Woolston, Southampton.

With a range of activities on offer, over 1,000 attendees enjoyed live music, craft stalls, dance and boxing demonstrations, BBQ, games, cocktails, and face painting throughout the day.

Organised by the Woolston Events Planning Group, which comprises local businesses, community enterprises and home-based business owners, the event was designed to showcase the best of Woolston and bring the local community together. Crest Nicholson, John’s Road Co-op and the Alexander Faulkner Partnership were very pleased to donate towards the event.

Paul Dumper, from What’s on Woolston said: “Despite the weather, we were pleased to welcome so many people to Woolston’s first ever summer fete. This was the first event organised by Woolston Events Planning Group and we look forward to welcoming the local community to more events in the future.”

Marcus Evans, Sales & Marketing Director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, commented: “We’re very proud of the flourishing community at our Centenary Quay development and are pleased to have sponsored the Woolston Summer Fete. At Crest Nicholson, we’re committed to building communities, not just homes, and we’re pleased to see the Centenary Quay and wider Woolston and Southampton community thriving.” Back
